Mission accomplished or failed?

I have a question for everyone, "what if you are not going to wake up tomorrow morning? " sounds morbid right? Sorry, but all of us were not guaranteed a 'tomorrow'.
Before we lay our back on bed, think if we had already satisfactorily accomplished the mission. Before we close our eyes to sleep, think if we are done with the reconciliation with anyone. Have you already said, "I love you to your loved ones?

Remember, it was just a borrowed life.

Surely we'll rue the day we wasted, when we hear the words, "I gave you many mornings to make up for the wrong deed of yesterday, of yester-years; but you did not make good use of it. Instead, you had rather added tons to your already tons of iniquities and transgressions."

We also don't like the words, "it's too late" to echoe in our ears.

And like some business-minded capitalist always say, "non-negotiable". :D

Taming our tongue

Our tongue practically weighs nothing... Anatomically speaking, it is aprox. about 15gms in weight. But why is it that most of us could hardly hold it? How come that we find it difficult to carry our tongue?

Sometimes our mind can be so cunning. it has its own way to trick our tongue.

One reason why SOME people can't hold their tongue is because, people love to talk more than to listen. we are a man of words. we love to talk and talk. all we wanted is to be heared. there is the uncontrollable drive in us to be recognized. we wanted to monopolize all the issues to gain higher reputation.

Our tongue became the tool for destruction. we can't hold our tongue for a moment because the moment we held it, we feel that we are deprived with power and freedom. We feel inferior, everytime we close our mouth. And right after we locked our lips, we feel that we are a captive of silence. If we hold our tongue for a moment, we feel that we are down and helpless because we were used to exalt ourselves with our tongue.

Our reckless tongue now has become the ultimate tool to show our true self to others. we use our tongue to lift our personal being... Some of us wanted to be popular by talking. Talking became our unhealthy habit.

So there also goes the reason why we are always in trouble. why we always feel sad. why we always seemed to have lived in misery..

all of these troubles happened and will continue to happen unless we learn to hold our tongue.

Lets endeavor to hold it even for just one minute. even for just a day.. we never learned the importance of reflecting before talking. Bottomline is meditating first before talking... I believe that if our mind gets tired, our tongue also gets tired.

Funny thing is that we have the ability to control and tame our tongue, but then, it seems that it is the tongue that manipulates us.

To be eloquent and prolific in everything one must first value silence and deep contemplation... And most of all, one must seek His Divine wisdom and good counsel..

THE BEAUTY OF CALAMITY

(REFLECTIONS NO. 7 OF Romeo Ariston King G. Gatan)

Have you ever heard about the calamity of blessings? It sounds absurd, right?
Who hates flood? Do you like it when there is a storm? What about earthquake? In my own personal experience, I don’t want to subject myself and experience anything like that. There are times when we were caught off guard by these inevitable natural phenomena. We always pray and hope for a fine weather. No one of us would like to experience any calamity disastrous to life and property.

But, what if the Omnipotent One floods your life with heavenly blessings? What if the Omniscient One sends you a storm of spiritual wealth? He lets you experience a blizzard of joy. Don't you want to be shaken by peace and unity with high intensity? A strong magnitude of love rocking up your family life? Your volcano of forgiveness erupts, then a tsunami of healing wash out your pains, sweeps away your wounds. Don’t you also want to experience a great famine of pride? And how about a drought of greed? What about seasons of love? Surely, we all want to experience them.

Friend, in every adversity in life, God is with us. We may face the most difficult times in our live; still, we will never feel defeated because God is our refuge. God is our Protector. No storms can sink our boat. In every ordeal man is struggling to face, God is there to give us encouragement and strength to subdue it. God never sleeps. He is always awake, on guard in every moment of our lives. And God will not allow us to carry crosses which we cannot carry.

Blaming God for every trial or difficulty in life does nothing good for us. It is not our right to question and persecute God amidst every problem in life. In suffering, we share His agonies; in sickness we appreciate His wisdom; in pain, we realize it pales in comparison to his own
Natural disasters remind us that we're not in control of everything. Through these calamities, people would value the power of God and that He exists, gathering as one family to help one another. In this way, generosity and compassion would once again abound everywhere.

On the other hand, we should not wait for a calamity, sickness or death to be re-united with family member. Let everyday be a day full of love. Help turn every sorrow into an inspiration, sadness into a joy. Seize the calamity of blessings every day.

Philosophical Thoughts on Life

I found out that:
·         Contemplative Silence is important in our lives. It can save us from any imminent danger.·         Truthful words produce tons of gold. Unguarded tongue creates chaos in life
·         Liars jeopardize their own life.
·         Understanding and forgiveness are the most potent medicine of a bleeding, broken heart.
·         Compassion is the best cure for loneliness.
·         Love justifies every person as human being.
·         Kindness gives strength to our frail and weak body.
·         Generosity is only true when the giver forget the deed.
·         Practicing generosity add vibrant colors to our lives.
·         The joy of living disappears when hatred starts to live in us.
·         Misery and troubles are the product of selfishness and pride.
·         Problems in life are just a part of life and not the whole “life” per se.
·         Life starts to get boring when we only think of ourselves.
·         People who love to talk about others whom they barely know are the real losers.
·         Jealousy and envy can only be cured by appreciating others.
·         Pride does nothing good in one’s life.
·         Retaliation and revenge can only add troubles in life.
·         There is nothing good to benefit from harboring grudges.
·         Gossip mongers love to drink in the cup of insecurity.

·
Haters dwell under the rooftop of jealousy and envy.

·         Wisdom is a priceless possession
·         Humility is akin to accepting the need to grow.
·         True humility glitters like a real diamond.
·         No amount of wealth, power and authority can save our soul.
·         Much of our troubles come from our greediness.
·         One does not need to be famous but to be a blessing to others.
·         The world offers a lot of fleeting happiness that neither fulfills nor satisfies the longing of the soul.
·         Some people are unconscious of their dying soul.
·         There is a story and purpose behind every event. There is a lesson in every mistake.
·         If there is a solution in every problem, there is also a blessing in every suffering.
·         Intelligence does not make a person a higher candidate to enter heaven.
·         Trials and sufferings in life are just temporary.
·         Love is always free and available.
·         It is not a crime to commit mistakes. But it is a shame to commit repeated mistakes.
  • Haters never grow intellectually. They just continue to shrink and shrink 'til they disappear
  • Listening is as important as thinking. Any person who talks without thinking is vulnerable to eating up  his/her own words.
  • One should not fear stumbling down, but should only fear of not getting up from the ground.

Right acknowledgement is True Gratitude

There was this homeless street child who always scavanges for food through the load of filthy garbage. Being orphaned at early age He has been dealing with garbage and toxic waste product just to survive from the wrenching poverty.

Everytime he finds tiny crumbs of rice, he would leap with joy, thanking God above for his great fortune. At the mere sight of left over foods, tears of joy would well on his eyes in gratitude for the Lord.

It is irrational thing for any man to rely on his own power and authority. A man who discredits God's abundant grace showered in his lifetime is a great shame. why should we not acknowledge God's effort in making our lives flourished and renowned. how ungrateful for any brute who never thought of thanking God for the heavenly blessings bestowed upon him.

In life, we need to give credit for generosity to the right ONE. Our prosperous life we enjoy today was made possibly true, through the courtesy of the Lord.

If flowers finds their unique way of thanking God by swaying their stems and leaves in the air. If the graceful birds joyfully chirps in thanksgiving to the Lord, why does a powerful leader who has a lot of reason to be thankful could not thank God?

Was not "luck" created by God? Even cosmic bodies were created by the sovereign Lord. I don't know if that President is inclined to superstitious belief.

Nevertheless, God will always understand the ungrateful ones. God by His loving mercy and compassion continuously dispenses favors to everyone, whether they are ungrateful or not. that is how good and generous the Lord was.

Deny Him before the earthly people and i hope He will not deny you before His Father..

Haters are losers.

Why do we have to love the haters in this world? They makes us famous. They drive us to be more motivated. They are our biggest fans in life. Haters are funny. They amused us in so many ways.. :)

Haters are our admirers. A prominent Author, Paulo Coelho himself told us that "Haters are confused admirers who can not understand why everybody likes you."

Funny how some people talk shit about you when they barely know you. And so like Dogs, stupid people do love to bark at strangers they do not know.

Haters love to drink the cup of jealousy and envy. They dwell under the rooftop of insecurity. and they live with their cousins, gossip mongers.

"Haters never grow intellectually. They just continue to shrink and shrink 'til they disappear." - Aris Gatan

Haters are like crickets; they make a lot of noise you can hear but you never see them, then you walk right by them and they're quiet. - Unknown

Riches and wealth

Many wealthy people do not understand the anxiety they feel at night. They worry too much about their loans, mortgages, debts, and everything related to money and wealth. On the other hand, a simple person who lives with contentment and satisfaction often feels refreshed at night and sleeps soundly. Worry deprives a person of a good night’s sleep.
Have you ever imagined someone going to bed with his thoughts completely preoccupied with money? Even in his sleep, he dreams about it. In the morning, he wakes up and still, money is on his mind. He eats breakfast without truly enjoying the meal because his thoughts are burdened by financial concerns. This is what we call a topsy-turvy mind.

By the end of the day, he is already exhausted. What increases a person’s anxiety and misery is an uncontrollable appetite for power, wealth, and fame. After wallowing in the mire of filthy riches, he is lulled into a false sense of security. Is that not sad?

Even today, it is not surprising to see how some people trade their dignity and reputation for money. It is as if someone says, “How much is your life worth? Here is the payment. I believe you can do this.” See how money can easily cloud one’s judgment, how wealth and power can obscure one’s perception. So many crooked ways are caused and aggravated by the pursuit of power, fame, and wealth.
Little do they know that money can be one of the greatest sources of stress on earth. Little do they realize that, in eternity, money is worth no more than dust.

In a sudden twist of fate, all that constitutes mans happiness will fade like a mist before a morning sun... The fleeting pleasures, the pompous glory and the unspeakable power and authority became like a dream of yesterday. Thus, what we call, “man's pursuit of shadows”.

No matter how much we value our earthly tangible possessions, our possessions will never value us when we draw our dying breath. Let us look at the hands of a dying person whose life is on the brink of death and notice how they grasp the things they've neglected in their healthy fruitful years. When a person’s life is now hanging by a thread he is either holding the hands of his loved ones, rosary, scapulars or prayer booklet. We were made from dust and to dust we shall return.

Close relationship matters most in life. It is not what you have, but who you have in life that really counts. Develop a kind and long lasting relationship. Let’s all nurture the relationship we have with our family. Most of all intensify the relationship we have with our Heavenly Father.

Commandments for a wonderful life

ABORT self-righteousness.

CLOSE the WINDOWS of hatred.

Give SPACE to your love one.
